In Memory of David Maloney April 5, 1943 – March 10, 2023
Ginny Reilly recently called to let us know about the the passing of David Maloney, the other half of the beloved folk duo of Reilly and Maloney. We distinctly remember hearing them for the first time on KLCC back in the very early 80’s. We were captivated by their voices and their incredible harmony work.
When they contacted CFS about having a concert in Corvallis, we jumped at the chance to volunteer to make it happen. We had a great crowd at the Old World Deli and we will always remember this concert as the first of many that we would produce for CFS over the ensuing decades. They were inspirational with their unique arrangements and delightful harmonies — often trading who was lead and who was harmony in the middle of the song.
