FAR-West Renews Partnership with Music Connection To Promote Folk and Roots Music Worldwide
2019 FAR-West Music Conference Slated for October 10-13 in Woodland Hills, CA at Warner Center Marriott
Folk Alliance Region West (FAR-West) and southern California-based Music Connection (MC) are partnering for the fourth consecutive year to promote the advancement of Folk and Roots music worldwide. In conjunction with the 2019 FAR-West conference slated for October 10-13 in Woodland Hills, CA, the two organizations, via a variety of channels, will promote activities and services of mutual interest to their respective audiences.
Folk Alliance Region West (FAR-West) is the western affiliate of Folk Alliance International. Members hail from California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Alaska and Hawaii in the USA; and Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and Northwest Territories in Canada. However, musicians and music business people from elsewhere in the US, Canada and beyond are also welcome to join us.
FAR-West’s ongoing mission is to foster and promote traditional, contemporary and multicultural folk music, dance, storytelling and related performing arts in the West. FAR-West welcomes a wide variety of styles, levels and disciplines and encourages musical and cultural diversity and excellence. FAR-West hosts an annual four-day conference open to artists, presenters, related music professionals and other supporters.
Music Connection is a Media Partner at this year’s FAR-West Music Conference and is providing FAR-West with promotional opportunities in their print and on-line publications. Founded in 1977 on the principle of bridging the gap between “the street and the elite,” Music Connection has grown from a popular print publication into a spectrum of products and services that address the wants and needs of musicians, the music tech community and industry support services.
Music Connection’s broad appeal encompasses the songwriter, producer, studio manager, home recordist, agent, attorney, publicist, label executive and, of course, the musician who’s looking for the informational edge that MC’s products and services deliver.
