The leader of the international folk-punk band The Dreadnoughts will make a rare solo appearance in Corvallis at Common Fields. The band does sea shanties, drinking songs, polkas and Irish rebel songs, all with a punk edge. They’re popular among the young folk; they tour Europe and England regularly, and will be at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland next New Year’s Eve, but it’s not clear what we’ll hear here.  Hopefully some local performers will be invited to join him.
