First Sunday Vocal Jam Circle

Vocal improv singing for all skill levels and ages.

CircleSinging with Barbara Ford

Popularized and taught by singer Bobby McFerrin, CircleSinging is vocal improvisation, a “drum circle” for singers. It is a “mistake-­‐free” zone for all levels of singers.

Barbara trained with Bobby McFerrin to lead CircleSinging. She leads groups in fun, poly-­‐rhythmic, resonant, and harmonic wordless song that can move, amuse, inspire, and strengthen community. This intergenerational experience is free and open to all and embodies the elements of Active Hope: community, creativity, gratitude and joy.
